Quick Pitch

From the advanced paddle Boarder to the individuals with special needs, the PaddleCruiser is designed to offer the most stable paddling platform on the market today.

The PaddleCruiser was intended for families, children, men and women and people who want more comfort, balance and stabiltity while enjoying the sport of PaddleBoarding and the fitness benefits it offers.

Product/Service Details

Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) is the fastest growing water sport today with a total of $57 million in boards or accessories sold as of the 2011 year end.  Final 2012 numbers were not yet available but projections are SUP sales will be over $30M in the United States for the summer months alone. With projected annual increases between 15% and 25%, the SUP market growing by $3M to $5M per year bringing 2013 projections to $35M to 37M.

Traditional SUP marketing and sales have been geared toward the active/competitive segment of the sport, i.e. Racing, surfing, open water, “rodeo”, white water and others. Few boards are designed with families, women, and leisurely users who want to enjoy quieter activities such as cruising, fishing, back country adventures, wild life watching / photography, etc.
People with special needs have have also been excluded from the sport due to the lack of SUP accessories and equipment which would allow them to safely participation. This is why we support the Wounded Warrior Project, the Autism Network, Special Olympics and other special needs organizations by designing our unique paddleboard to allow everyone to enjoy an active and healthy life by paddleboarding.

This is where Turtle Beach Board Company Inc. (TBBC) changes the face of the SUP industry.  With a totally new , multi-functional and very adaptable SUP concept, designed for superior stability and increased balance... “The PaddleCruiser” (Patent Pending Filing # 61816888). Our product will be manufactured entirely in the U.S, allowing PaddleCruiser™ to proudly bear the “Made in the USA” logo.

Traction & Accomplishments

The PaddleCruiser design started in the mind of TBBC founder Peter Morlon several years ago, and to the drawing board and conceptual design, followed by initial engineering in early 2012. The first prototype "the mule" was launched in the fall of 2012 and performed beyond expectations. The mule was soon followed by two more prototypes, each with significant improvement in function, technology, and graphics and based on their performance we can say with confidence that the PaddleCruise is one of the most buoyant and stable paddleboards available today.
The PaddleCruiser has been demonstrated in front of large audiences and has be tested by both novice and experienced users. The response has been overwhelming and it's clear that the  PaddleCruise meets the needs of a wide demographic. From young to not so young, from novice to experienced user, from the most athletic to those who aren't particularly athletic.. All who have tested and played with the PaddleCruiser have called it, ”the ultimate serious and most stable water toy they had tried.”

How We're Different

The PaddleCruiser is a totally new concept that takes its inspiration in the way conventional paddleboards are operated but does not stop there. It can be used as a traditional paddleboard; it can be used in a kneeling, or sitting position with a kayak paddle: it can be a stable fishing platform when equipped with the PaddleCruiser outriggers and specifically created fishing accessories; future models will even cater to other water sports making them easier and more enjoyable. Accessories being developed will allow it to be used a variety of ways from playing in the surf to trekking the back water bays and estuaries and any place where a water adventure is possible.  It is the Ideal platform for health and fitness training, such as yoga and other fitness disciplines.
A brand new manufacturing technology patented by a leading university came to our attention and we have reached a preliminary exclusive agreement to use this technology in exchange for a very reasonable royalty on every board manufactured. This new technology offers significant advantages in terms of unit weight, unit strength, and cutting almost in half the manufacturing cost of the PaddleCruiser when compared with traditional fabricating methods used to manufacture conventional paddleboards. In addition, the process, based almost exclusively on the use of recycled materials, makes the PaddleCruiser a “Green” watersport vessel.
PaddleCruiser is safe, the new fill foam technology used in it's design is water impervious; it will not absorb water and will not sink as opposed to the hollow boards and inflatables offered on the market today. It will provide a solid lifesaving platform in case of water activity mishap. It can safely be used as a rescue cruiser and has demonstrable weight carrying capacity of over 350 lbs. It is light, tough and it can be configured to meet a variety of needs and uses.
TBBC's staff is made up of a pool of strong and creative designers with a variety of talents.  Each of which is always innovating new ideas and accessories for the PaddleCruiser to ensure a successful launch and to sustain it as it takes its place in the growing SUP market.

Use of Funds

All the development work has been completed, prototypes ahve been bult and extensively tested in all conitions. The PaddleCruiser has a preliminary patent application (Patent Pending).
