Ron is a geographer who founded Three Scale.  There is a big opportunity for interactive maps to integrate large and disparate data sets, to make planning and decision making easier and faster.  An interactive map takes space or spatial scales, and combines this with time or temporal scales, from which one can utilize an interactive map to increase efficiency and identify new revenue opportunities. Productivity gains are what grow business and therefore the economy, and interactive mapping will play a significant economy of scale role in the next few years.
