Back in the lates 90's, a critical shortage of agave led manufacturers to move from 100% to 51% agave, which damaged the quality perceptions of premium tequila.
Today the market is in oversupply and that dynamic is in reverse. According to a report added by bharatbook.com entitled, "Global market review of Tequila - forecast to 2013," more and more 100% agave products are coming to market. As a result, this is helping to raise quality perceptions, and in turn demand is surging, not only in core Mexican and US markets but across a number of countries.

Our Maya Tequilas are created from organic hand-selected agaves grown exclusively on Carmen Sauza's private estate. Only the finest part of the agave heart is steamed in four intervals in stone ovens. Afetr going through a double distillation process, it is then carefully aged in oak barrels. Enjoy our 3 special creations.
Maya Silver is a crystal clear tequila, infused with brilliant silver, white and blue reflections. It has a high body with a slow run off of "tears".
Maya Silver is best when sipped in a tall, stemmed glass similar to a Riedel Tequila Glass. Maya Silver is best enjoyed as a great appetizer along with the traditional salt and lemon or accompanied as an addition to citric fruits.
Maya Reposado is aged for 11 months in American White Oak Barrels, producing a notably high body. It has a transparent shade of brilliant gold.
Reposado is best when sipped in a tall, stemmed glass similar to a Riedel Tequila Glass. Maya Reposado may be enjoyed as an appetizer with cold hams and strong cheeses. It’s characteristics of butter makes it pair well with seafood.
Maya Extra Anejo is aged for a minimum of 42 months in American White Oak Barrels. Notice the brilliant transparent copper reflections produced when the glass is inclined. The aging of this tequila produces a ‘crown’ on the mouth of the glass before it drains into ‘rivers of tears’.
Maya Extra Anejo is best when sipped in a tall, stemmed glass similar to a Riedel Tequila Glass. It is best enjoyed when paired with red meats or as a digestive to enjoy with desserts, tobacco or even with an espresso.

Our tequilas have a common tradition: the agave fields that our ancestors cultivated with love and care on the blessed soil of the Blue Land of Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico. My father, Mr. Alfonso Sauza Rosales, placed into my hands the land that his grandfather and great grandfather worked with to create a heritage of tradition.

Process of Jima (Harvest)
Our Maya tequilas are created from selected agaves, grown on our own plantation, undergoing a careful process of "jima" or harvest that removes all parts of the agave that can cause bitterness.
It is then cooked in four intervals in steamed stone ovens, where the plant’s sugars are caramelized. After the double distillation process we are left with the highest quality tequila and its unique characteristics.
100% Blue Weber Agave
We age our tequila in fine American White Oak barrels, creating its unique taste and personality. Our tequila is produced from 100% Agave tequilana Weber, blue varity and is truly pure without the addition of any flavorings or coloring outside of the natural aging process.
Masterfully Inspired
Our "alchemist" Master Taster and Tequila Expert, Dr. Jamie Augusto Villalobos Diaz, produced the Maya tequilas. He is known throughout Mexico as a master lecturer and consultant of makers of fine tequilas.
We have developed strategic relationships.
More and more tequilas would come out claiming that they are the best or have the highest quality. Having a great product is not enough as you compete with over 1200 brands in a crowded market. It actually doesn't matter how great your product is or how much money you have, without relationships you cannot succeed. We have taken the time to develop relationships that will get us noticed in the marketplace, both in LA and in Vegas and organically as we expand beyond our initial territories.
We have made a lot of headway into bringing our Maya Tequilas to the market. Here's what we have accomplished so far:

To capitalize on this momentum that we are gaining, by the end of the second quarter 2013, we will introduce our Ultra Añejo aged 60 months. We also have plans to introduce our Añejo which is aged 30 months to supplement our Silver, Reposado and our Extra Anejo. We will raise the price of Extra Añejo to be more in line, but still less expensive than the competition.

Bruce serves as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and has been instrumental in helping to form and build the company. He has been awarded numerous sales and marketing awards during his career for outstanding performance in multiple industries. His areas of contribution have ranged from banking and insurance to systems development and marketing. He is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of business experience.
Bruce has developed a close working relationship with Dr. Jaime Villalobos and his wife Carmen Sauza during the development process of the Company’s brands.
