Safety- the hardest activity for all businesses
Anyone who ever worked or works in the shipping and receiving area of a business knows running a forklift or any other equipment in and out of a trailer can be dangerous. We all know how much the trailer moves because of the weight and in the back of our minds we wonder if the trailer will ever move away from the dock. If you drive a forklift you have all seen the videos and pictures of forklifts rolling off of loading docks because the driver of the trailer has driven away or the trailer has moved away from dock. Most of the time, the injuries can be bad or even deadly, all because the trailer was never choked/restrained or chocked/restrained correctly. After many years of working in warehousing/manufacturing and being on safety committees, I came up with the idea of an easy-to-use system that gives personnel the awareness that the trailer is safe to enter. Hence, the birth of the SD100 Wireless Wheel Chock Monitoring system.
What is the SD100
The SD100 Wireless Wheel Chock Monitoring system is the first and only wheel restraint system that uses wireless technology. This system was created to give loading dock personnel the visual awareness that the trailer is choked correctly. The unit uses a 3 light system to visually show what status the loading dock is at without opening the door. The lighting system lets you know when a trailer backs up to the dock and when the driver correctly chocks the trailer. Personnel then know when it is safe to load or unload.

What we will do with the money
The fundraised money will be used to market the unit to customers by direct sale dealers across the country. It will also be used to build our inventory so that we may handle customers in a timely manner. Finally, the fundraised money will be used to equip our manufacturing shop with the necessary tools to be sucessful.
