SA Strike Zone is San Antonio's community oriented baseball & softball facility that builds players character through an authentic baseball experience.

Our slogan is "All Grit. No Quit".  We believe that Grit, even above natural ability, is the most important factor of success.  Grit is the players passion, zeal and their commitment to hard work.  It's about how committed you are to the parts that are hardest and your willingness to get back up after you take a hit.  If you aren't pushing past what's comfortable or easy, you aren't growing towards true greatness.  Studies have proven this true in everything from baseball to spelling bee's to executives... 

Good Enough + Grit = Greatness

Our Grit was put to the test when Strike Zone was badly damaged by the flooding in San Antonio at the end of May 2013.  Four feet of rushing waters pushed its way from one end of Strike Zone to the other.  We didn't believe it could be rebuilt.  As we surveyed the damage and watched the roaring river behind us carry away much of Strike Zone, one the the grittiest baseball players we know (who we affectionately call "Panda") found something and held it up.  It was the t-shirt that says "No Grit. No Glory".  That was our reminder.  Grit means that we get back up.

We're committed to putting it back together- kids, teams, coaches, and instructors are depending on it.  It's a big challenge and it's also an opportunity to make some improvements.  

Strike Zone humbly donates the use of the facilities to the Army Purple Heart Baseball Team.  Our home is their home.  They are Grit.  

Strike Zone is a centrally located training facility that offers instruction and rental of a baseball field, pitching tunnels and batting cages with the same pitching machines as those used by local little league.

We keep our overhead low so that you can have access to all of the things you need at a reasonable fee- ... because practicing your bat shouldn't cost as much as your bat.

6/19-  We're optimistic that we're going to reach the fundraising goal and have our wheels in motion.  The interior demolition work was completed yesterday and construction begins today!

Strike Zone is more than just a baseball field and batting cages- it's a community.  Whether it's Chili Cook-offs, Homerun Derby's, birthday parties or spontaneous end-of-day tailgating, it's a place where we come together and have some fun as families and community members.

We want the same things for our kids that our customers do- passionate kids that are surrounded by a community that cares for them and teaches them that character is important above all else.

Right now we're restoring Strike Zone to what it was.  If we reach our campaign goal we'd like to do some big things.

-  If we raise our goal of $10K, we'll be able to get everything back to what it was and add some new equipment.

-  If we were to exceed our goal, with another $10K we'd add an enclosed climate controlled area for those of us already who have enough character & grit and just want to relax.

-  If we exceeded $20K by enough then we're probably talking about adding a football field at that point.  It's the #1 thing we get called about in the Fall and we'd love to give folks another reason to come to Strike Zone.

Strike Zone is a growing business with strong instructors and a healthy client base.  It's one of the only public facilities that has both batting cages and a baseball field.
