Plum's roots are in the professionally installed lighting industry that serves estate homes across the US.  We've been designing and installing lighting control for 20 years.  Along the way, we learned how people want to interact with their lights.  We took all our learning and poured it into Plum.

Our goal was to create the most advanced lighting control product available and make it easy to install and program so that more of us could experience the joy of automated lighting control.

We designed a microprocessor based light dimmer, added sensors, WiFi, Bluetooth and a multi-touch user interface and introduced the Plum Lightpad in late 2015.

It's elegant, sophisticated and tops every other solution available for the smart home.

THE FIRST DIMMER FEATURING MULTI-TOUCH

While controlling your lights from a mobile app is very convenient when you are not at home, we believe the opposite to be true when you simply walk into a room.  We have been interacting with light switches our entire lives, and it has become an instinctive behavior.  Being forced to use your smartphone simply does not work as you step into your kitchen. The Plum Lightpad features Multi-touch which allows you to control a single light, group of lights or all of your lights from any Lightpad in the home.  A simple touch turns on or off the light, slide up and down to adjust the intensity.  Using two fingers controls groups that you can setup in the app, so you can have all of your lights slowly fade off as you make your way to bed.

CONTROL FROM ANYWHERE USING THE FREE MOBILE APP

Our mobile app is clean, simple, and intuitive.  You can create scenes, schedules, and monitor or control your lights from anywhere you have an internet connection.

CONTROL USING VOICE - AMAZON ALEXA & GOOGLE ASSISTANT

Plum is expanding our 3rd party integrations and now works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT.  Using voice, you can simply say "Alexa, turn on the Kitchen lights" or "Hey Google, lower my reading light by 20%" Our integration with Alexa and Google allow you to control individual lights, groups such as a room, activate scenes, or turn on/off all of your lights.  IFTTT integration allows for powerful new features based on rules you create for just about anything.  Lightpad glow rings can flash red if you receive a severe weather alert, or blink your lights when your Alexa timer goes off in the kitchen.  You can have your lights turn on as you pull into your driveway.

FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE GLOW RING

Plum Lightpads feature motion detection and gently illuminate as you approach them to greet you with a friendly glow, making it easy to find in the dark. The glow feature creates just enough light to guide you without needing to turn lights on in the middle of the night or can be used as a night light in the nursery.  Glow rings are fully customizable, allowing you to choose colors, intensities, and how long they stay on.  With powerful integrations like IFTTT, you can use the glow ring for notifications. Have them flash red if you receive a severe weather alert or green when your Alexa timer goes off.
