UTi Transport Solutions, the parent company of Par-Trans Marketing, is a well-known freight broker that has been providing customized transport solutions in North America for over 37 years.

UTi Transport develped a state-of-the-art in-house freight management technology, Visual Freightrak (VFT), that enables them to process a broad range of crucial company functions (such as load tracking, billing administration and backup information), and share that valuable information in realtime between affiliates, corporate support and external clients and carriers.

UTi moves over 8,000 loads per month, contracts over 43,000 carriers representing 1,000,000 power units, and is a globally recognized name in transportation excellence.

In addition to our affiliation with UTi, Par-Trans Marketing has made considerable strides in our own right.

Richard Parmer has more than 40 years of experience in the freight transport industry, starting with when he earned his way through college by working weekends and summers on the freight dock at Roadway Express in Irving, Texas. After he graduated, Roadway asked him to join the company a a supervisor. From there, he worked his way up through a number of managerial positions at the company in different locations throughout Texas. He later worked for Transcon Lines as Region Manager, Consolidated Freightways as Senior Sales Manager then at Eagle Global Logistics as Senior Vice President.

After 5 years out of the freight transport business, which he spent as a successful rancher, Richard was asked by an attorney friend to launch a startup freight forwarding company. Richard assembled a team of investors and bought the company, growing the company's revenue from $1 million to over $16 million. That company sold in 2007.
