Our Story

The Inspiration
Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine is a celebration of classic Southern Cooking
community and life. It is a tribute to and inspired by the lives of two family
Matriarchs Julia and Pearl. Growing up Southern is a life experience, set of ideals and values that crosses generational lines. It is also about the fond memories
and being true to your roots, holding true to tradition, family and friends.
Of all the memories, the ones that stand out the most are the smell of classic
Southern cooking coming from the kitchen, the culture and hospitality around
the dinner table.

The Offering
In honor of those memories, we present to you Julia Pearl Southern Cuisine
an upscale dining fusion of classic Southern cooking created with local ingredients and created using modern culinary techniques to create a variety of Modern Southern specialties. We hold true to the value of farm-fresh ingredients, culture and hospitality. Our innovative creations are unique twists, which produce familiar dishes with simple but bold flavors that elevates the food experience and appeals to a diverse clientele. Choose offerings from our traditional “Julia” side of the menu
or from a more modern “Pearl” side of the menu. Come in and enjoy the
down-home comforts of a great Modern Southern meal and live jazz in our
warm setting. In addition, our bar area offers an impressive selection of wine
pairings, handcrafted cocktails and local craft beers.
IT’S FRESH, IT’S MODERN, IT’S SOUTHERN!

Wow! Opening  a restaurant is expensive.

We need funds to help get us over the hump and we're almost there. What you need to know is that we're renovating an existing restaurant space. Slapping a few layers of paint on the walls and calling it good is not happening here. Julia Pearl Southern Cusisine will be located at 2301 North Central Expressway just off of US 75 in Plano, TX. We are taking an existing building that's been a bit of an eye sore and improving the footprint of our community.

In addition to restaurant space, we are adding a beautiful outdoor entertainment area to entertain our guests and friends and showcase the great local talent in the surrounding community. However, it's not cheap. But we feel that this area is critical to the success of our restaurant. Why? Because Julia Pearl is not just about us, it's about you...our community. And we want you to come on in, kick off your shoes and enjoy some great Southern Food with us at Julia Pearl.

Enjoy the bold flavors of the handcrafted dishes from our chef driven menu created with the fresh locally sourced meats, produce, dairy and breads. We are committed to using only the freshest ingredients and seasonings.

Quality is at the forefront of all we do. The quality of our ingredients are no exception and evident in the appearance and taste of our Fresh Modern Southern Cuisine.

Menu
Our chef driven menu features elevated creations of familar southern dishes. They are given a unique twist, which results in simple but bold falvors. Choose offerings from our traditional “Julia” side of the menu or from a more modern “Pearl” side of the menu. Enjoy the down-home comforts of a great southern meal.

The Drinks

Local and Regional
We will have a great line up of local and regional craft beers, IPAs and other things that we aren't quite ready to share yet. Come on, we've got to keep just a little suspense going! However, we can tell you that our Mixologist will be creating some delicious, signature handcrafted cocktails that you're sure to enjoy and will only be availble through our restaurant.

Giving Back

Strengthening Community Through Food.

Julia Pearl is committed to strengthening our communities as we build our dream. We are passionate about giving back and playing a meaningful role in doing good in our community. So, we are offering you the opportunity to become a community supporter in our business. What does that mean?

As a company, we have investment partners. Quarterly, we will return profits to those partners. As a community supporter, you become part of a collective group that will share in seeing 5% of our profits being given back into our local community every quarter. Yes, you read that right.

We are serious about this commitment. Therefore, we are also joining and sharing the strength of No Kid Hungry. 10% of the proceeds from this campaign is going to support the No Kid Hungry Charity (www.nokidhungry.org). No Kid Hungry is a great charity whose mission is to combat child hunger. With the school year ending, a large number of kids will not have access to the school meals that they would regularly receive each day. They struggle to get enough to eat during the summer months. So were asking you to support two great causes with your donation.

The Team

Darcy - Dudley

Managing Member 


Managing Member Darcy Dudley provides strong leadership, management and organizational skills having served 15 yrs as a non commissioned officer in the U.S. Military and manager in the corporate arena. He has also served in an assistant managerial role in the food service industry. He has always had a passion for cooking and great food. Opening Julia Pearl is a life long dream. He will oversee the management decisions of Trendine Restaurant Group LLC.


Andre - Irvin

Operations Director 


Andre Irvin serves as Director of Operations. Mr. Irvin has over 20 yrs of experience in the Restaurant Industry. Mr. Irvin serves as Sr. Director of Operations for a Major Restaurant Group, responsible for the operation of 64 restaurants. He provides experience in the startup and opening of restaurants, operations, financials, marketing, staff hiring and training.


Tre - Wilcox

Culinary Director 


Chef Tre Wilcox serves as Culinary Director. Chef Wilcox provides over 20 yrs of experience in the restaurant industry. He has opened and served as Executive Chef at prestigious restaurants in the Dallas, TX area. He has also appeared on various local and national TV shows to include Top Chef Seasons 3, Season 8 Top Chef All Stars, Iron Chef and The Talk. He provides expertise in culinary direction, menu development, recipe development, pricing, food cost, staff training and restaurant operations.
