The Ink N Drink Marker is a simple innovation aiming to optimize the coffee and tea drinking experience by offering high-level visual cues of your drink's temperature.

The marker offers a two-pronged function: 

• It writes dark blue on paper cups but when a hot drink exceeding 150F enters, it turns bright green.
• As your drink cools to 150F, the ink reverts back from green to the original dark blue color. 

How can you use it? 

Like your drink's hot? As the ink fades to dark blue, start drinking up.

Like it cooler? Wait till it reverses back to blue completely.

Drink completely cold? Microwave and see the ink change color back from blue to green to have a baseline of how hot your drink is.

The Ink N Drink Marker has temperature sensitive ink customized for hot drinks

• It's designed for paper cups but works on some ceramic based on thickness
• Reacts to drinks exceeding 150F. This threshold was chosen as focus groups with both coffee shops and consumers showed this as the optimal temperature. It was just hot enough for many drinkers and for shops, it could be used for lattes, coffee and tea.

Ink N Drink is the first marker designed to have writing tell you your drink's heat. There is some value-add for each type of drinker.

My vision is to have it available in every coffee shop next to the cream and sugar. 

But my dream is to grow the category. Create a smaller, keychain friendly marker for everyday users; markers for baby bottles; paint markers for artists.
