Quick Pitch

We are looking to reduce the incidences of head and neck injuries in football. Our product the HITRight Football Helmet Sensor training aid aims to transform a whole new generation of youth athletes to play the game of football the right way and that's HEADS UP tackling. There was 3.5 million youth football players playing football in the US in 2012 and 1.5 million high school players. If we capture 40% of this market, we are a $40 million+ business.

Product/Service Details

Head and neck injuries in football have been on the rise every year. The issues with concussions are alarming. The HITRight Football Helmet Sensor is a training aid that teaches and reinforces proper heads up tackling and blocking. If a ball player lowers their head into a forward downward dangerous position, let's say at a 90 degree angle they are alerted by an audible alert that have lowered their head into an unsafe position and that they need to raise their head. With consistent reinforcement at the youth level, we feel we can transform a whole new generation of athletes to play the game the right way and that's Heads Up football.

Traction & Accomplishments

We are in at 1 large online retailer at this time. We shipped our first order to them on 6/14/2013. This online retailer is Eastbay.com. They are the largest online sporting goods retailer in the US. Our plan is to excusively partner with Eastbay for our first football season. This is a strategic decision because our internal operations are still small, so we don't want to be bogged down with admistrative stuff. Also, Eastbay takes on inventory, instead of having us drop ship orders, which again puts a burden on us adminstratively. This 2013 footballl season will be our first season selling the product.

How We're Different

The HITRight Sensor is unlike any other football helmet sensor you've seen or heard about to date. All other helmet sensors deal with the after affects of a hard impact. They measure the severity of the impact or where the impact occured, while the HITRight sensor is a training/teaching aid that reinforces proper heads up tackling and blocking. The sensor aims to reduce the incidences of head and neck injuries in football. Also, all the other helmet sensors only focus on impact and velocity of impact to the head, the HITRight Sensor is not only a training/teaching aid, but also addresses the issue of neck injuries in football.
