Traction & Accomplishments

Distributor Sales Are Up By 225%
Without any major media advertising or marketing efforts, case sales have increased by 225% since 2011 and 101% from 2012 for Q1. Word of mouth and industry referrals have fueled this significant increase in retail distribution and product placement. The company will launch its national media advertising campaign in summer 2013.


Retail Sell-Through Is Increasing Ten-Fold
Major liquor retailers have reported a substantial increase in sell-through of this new gluten-free Aussie vodka. These retailers, including 250 Ralphs and 130 Basha stores, have seen retail same store sales jump from 500 units to 5000 units YTD. The company has yet to launch its massive media advertising campaign slated for summer 2013.

As unit sales continue to dramatically increase, the company’s industry category ranking continues to also improve. In addition to VML, we partner with Advantage Sales and Marketing (1.1 Billion U.S. sales and marketing company to drive our products in major grocery, drugstore, club, convenience and other retailers.)  We are the first spirit they represent as they formed a new division for liquor last year called ABS.

About the Team

David Freyder

Former National Director at KPMG Peat Marwick and entrepreneur with 25 years experience in building businesses 


David began his career at the age of 22 as the co-founder of FreyBel, Inc. (“Freybel”), a Property Tax Consulting firm specializing in providing consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. FreyBel sold to Ernst & Young. Next, KPMG Peat Marwick hired Dave as National Director to build their National Property Tax Division. After successfully building that division for KPMG, he went on to co-found energyOn.com in response to the need to provide online access for natural gas and electric consumers in deregulated states. American Power Conversion (nasdaq - apcc – 1.7B sales) acquired energyOn.com in 2000, at which point Dave was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the energyOn.com division and focused on expanding the concept in Europe and Australia. Dave began Gday Imports, LLC in 2006 and worked with master distillers in Australia to develop both brands from premium grapes grown in the Barossa Valley. The company imports both brands in 15 states within the US and plans to expand into more markets in 2014.


Laura Rueter - Executive Vice President - Sales

Laura is passionate about the brand, as an aussie, and is also a briliant salesperson who understands the 360 perspective of building a brand and what it takes.  


Laura began with g'day in 2007 and was originally hired as a regional brand manager for g'day. After successfully growing the midwest region, she was promoted to National Distribution Director and recently further promoted as a result of her success in the chains to Executive Vice President, Sales. Prior to joining g'day, Laura worked for Fosters in Melbourne Australia where she was born.


Mike Mikenas - TBH upon funding

Mike is a seasoned veteran of the spirits industry with experience in building brands throughout the US.  


Mike has more than 20 years of proven expertise of driving sales and building brand equity with some of the top spirits companies in the world. He has been highly effective at analyzing customer and marketplace needs while developing brand strategies that deliver added value and increased sales. He established relationships with many of the major national wine and spirits distributors (Young’s Market, RNDC, SWS, Wirtz Beverage, Glazer’s, Charmer Sunbelt) as well as many of the on and off premise national accounts.


Matt Anthony - Board of Director

Matt is currently CEO of Y & R North America  


Matt Anthony is the driving force behind VML’s growth and success which now has more than 750 employees on three continents, the VML Digital Network provides industry-leading work for some of the world’s most recognized and respected brands including Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Colgate-Palmolive, Dell, ESPN, Ford, Gatorade, Hershey’s, Microsoft, Sam’s Club, SAP, Southwest Airlines, Waste Management, Western Union and Xerox. In March 2013, Matt accepted a new position as CEO of Y & R North America


Jon Cook - Board of Director

Jon is currently the CEO of VML, a leading global digital communications agency 


Jon, VML CEO and President, has been with the agency for more than 16 years. During that time, VML has grown from 30 employees in Kansas City, Mo., to more than 1,200 around the globe. Previously, Jon served as VML President since 2007. Jon has been one of the driving forces behind VML’s expanded digital and mobile capabilities, and he was an integral part of a leadership team that transformed the agency into a global digital powerhouse. In his executive leadership role, Jon draws upon years of account experience working with VML client partners such as American Century Investments, Gatorade, Kellogg’s, Microsoft, Colgate-Palmolive, U.S. Bank, Ford, SAP, Southwest Airlines, Vanguard and others.


Joseph Jedlicka - Board of Director

Jospeh's 15 years of legal expertise as VP Legal and State Affairs for Anheiser Busch combined with his entrepreneurial experience makes him a great advisor to Gday Imports, LLC.  


Joseph has nearly 20 years of experience as a business executive, corporate attorney and government affairs representative. Joseph was Vice President, Legal and State Affairs, for Anheuser-Busch Incorporated where he managed all in-house and outside counsel relating to marketing, sales, distribution, franchise, transactions, litigation, antitrust compliance, regulatory compliance and licensing. He worked at Anheuser-Busch for 15 years and has vast knowledge on state laws regarding liquor laws and issues. His entrepreneurial experience, as well as his pertinent legal expertise from Anheuser Busch will prove extremely valuable to G’Day’s Board of Directors. Joseph was involved in a number of projects for Anheuser Busch including new product launches, partnership agreements, and other strategic liquor activities. Mr Jedlicka is currently President of a start-up company B & W Sensors LLC.


Nancy Palmer

Nancy's extensive accounting expertise is a valuable asset to the Gday team as the Company grows.  


Nancy is a diversified accounting professional experienced with corporate accounting, auditing, and financial analysis background. Expert in establishing accounting functions, systems and best practices; cost-reduction and automation; and lasting business relationships. Experience in managing a large number of employees. Computer skills include proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks (all versions) and MS Nancy is a Certified Public Accountant, and is responsible for · Responsible for all aspects of the accounting function, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and bank relationships. Maintain all cost accounting and production records. Monitor the fluctuation of the AU and EU exchange rates to maximize dry goods purchases. · Responsible for negotiating costs and maintaining inventory levels for dry goods purchased in the EU and Australia. Work with distillers and bottlers in Australia to schedule, monitor and evaluate production runs. · Routinely interact with Owners and Board of Directors. Previous Experience .... Payless Cashways was a Fortune 500 retailer specializing in Building Materials to the DYI Responsibilities: · Managed all payables functions for over 200 stores nationwide. In charge of all staffing responsibilities for over 150 employees and a multi-million dollar budget. Extensive contact with suppliers to negotiate terms and resolve disputes. · Worked directly with the Information Systems Department to develop and install the Integrated Accounts Payable System. · Performed Internal Audits in all areas of the corporation including Stores, Distribution Centers and Corporate Offices. Written and oral reports provided to senior management. Also worked on numerous acquisitions of subsidiaries.
