Furlocity Partners with Marriott, Priceline on Pet Booking Engine

Furlocity is the most comprehensive online marketplace for pet owners, allowing them to search and compare pricing for pet care providers and accommodations with the click of a button. Whether pet owners are looking for services close to home or while traveling, Furlocity’s trusted care providers and reviews will ensure that their beloved pet will be in the best of hands. Furlocity is also a powerful tool for pet care providers, offering a comprehensive back-end CRM system that includes booking, customer and appointment tracking, and reporting.

Furlocity has secured partnerships with Marriott Hotels and Priceline and recently brought Jim Dougherty, the founder of PetSmart, on board as an adviser. While in beta, Furlocity has partnered with 150 pet boarding facilities, veterinarians, and pet travel options including some of the largest names in the pet care industry: PETCO-owned Pooch Hotel and national franchises Dogtopia and Camp Bow Wow.

The team is currently working to further develop their CRM and back-end tools and expand Furlocity’s presence in the pet care industry.

I don't think using Kickstarter for movies or other sliamir projects is necessarily bad. Sure, people can invest their own money on a project however, there can be other reasons on why one would use Kickstarter to do that. A series that I loved from before, Veronica Mars, successfully got more than $5m to make a movie. I think it's a smart move to show how much fans want it back while opening the possibility of the TV network to pick up where the series (or movie) left off.
