Congratulations, 3-D Vision!
After a fast-paced, 60-day campaign, 3-D Vision’s crowdfund has officially come to a close at nearly 250% funded! Through a combination of intensive media outreach, many demonstrations, and several key marketing moves, Gene Dolgoff’s 3-D Vision has officially become Fundable’s most-funded company to date.
Beginning with a bang, 3-D Vision achieved nearly half of its goal within the first week of its Fundable launch. The momentum carried on throughout the remainder of the campaign – features from more than 29 media publications propelled pledges and interaction with the company with comments like:
… He [Gene Dolgoff] knows a thing a two about serious dedication. – U.S. News & World Report
I was immediately doubtful when I read the pitch. After seeing it person, my doubts were proven to be unfounded. This tech works. And it works exceptionally well. – Digital Trends
One hundred seventy backers have committed to 3-D Vision, the vast majority of which have chosen to pre-order 3-D Vision’s Instant 3-D Converter. Many of the remaining backers have entered a design contest to create the shell that will house 3-D Vision’s technology; the winner of this contest, announced in October, will receive $10,000 from the Fundable campaign.
While 3-D Vision’s crowdfunding campaign is now closed to additional backers, those interested in the project can still view device details and look forward to purchasing the Instant 3-D Converter around springtime of 2013.

I used Kickstarter to fund a short film I was making. It wreokd extremely well and we met our goal. Personally, I think this is the future of funding projects, especially among indie games and films. It seems like people are much more apt to donate when the amount is so little, and I think the incentives have something to do with it. It's definitely one of the coolest things I've used in a while. I'll probably use it for my future work as well.
