American Oil Solutions (AOS) is a Connecticut-based green technology company that recycles used hydrocarbon waste such as tires into oil and other products through a closed-loop, pollution-free process.   The company seeks to become the market leader in hydrocarbon product recycling.  AOS started with tires as a feedstock due to the availability of supply and because tires provide multiple products and revenue streams.  Our first facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut is currently operational and funds raised will be used to increase production capacity.

American Oil Solutions (AOS) is a green technology company that recycles used tires, plastics and other biomass into energy products through a closed-loop pyrolysis process.  American Oil Solutions uses a proprietary, modified pyrolysis system combined with a carbon re-processing technology to turn used tires into oil products, activated carbon, syngas, naphtha and scrap steel as well as highly specialized products such as sulfur and other industrial chemicals.

American Oil Solutions was voted most promising environmental/green tech product of the year on November 7, 2013, at the seventh Annual Connecticut Innovation Summit Awards.

American oil solutions also won the "pitch off" contest at this year's Connecticut Technology Summit.  We were ranked as the #1 Connecticut startup by an audience of 450 entrepreneurs and investors.

Since 2012, we have invested over $700,000 into the business and are now operational. AOS has received loans and grants from the Connecticut Department of Economic Development as well as Connecticut Innovations.  We are currently in the process of negotiating joint venture agreements with municipalities and private waste management businesses.

 

Unlike other, larger tire pyrolysis projects in the United States (which are all currently in the concept stage), our stage-one facility is fully operational.  Due to the modular scalability of our method, we experience less down-time than large-scale facilites.  Each pyrolysis unit processes 10 tons of tires per day.  We are therefore able to operate in any location, small or large.
